Utensili per la lavorazione del vetro – Tools Glassmaker
Company Profile
The story of Carlo Donà Glasstools begins in 1923, when it was established on Murano, but even at the end of the previous century, Beniamino Donà, father of Carlo and Angelo, was an artisan blacksmith on the island…
THE TWO BROTHERS START THEIR OWN BUSINESS CALLING IT, ”FRATELLI DONÀ” OR ”DONÀ BROTHERS”, BUT SOON DECIDE TO GO TWO SEPARATE WAYS!
The “Bottega fabbrile” or “Blacksmith shop”, became important in the business on the island, collaborating with the most important companies of that period in research and evolution of large scale production of glass. Carlo had a son Carletto, of the same profession, adding a more modern push towards new working systems, Carlo Donà.
Roberto, son of Carletto, went back to the ways of his grandfather, relying on the acquired experience of the business. The experience of the Muranese glass masters, added to the requests for new working techniques of masters and artists scattered throughout the world, have brought notable improvements.
